Learning a new language is an adventure. Stoney Nakoda is the beautiful language of the Iethka people. In this session, you will learn greetings, numbers, colours, places, names of animals, and much more.

As many people know, language is central to any culture. By learning the language you will learn more about the Stoney Nakoda people, their view of life and nature.

You should attend if you:

• Are interested in Indigenous people

• Want to learn about history and events before and after European contact

• Enjoy or want the challenge of learning a language

• Are interested in Truth & Reconciliation

Notes:

• This course is one session: Saturday, April 9th starting at 9:00 am

• The location is Garside Gallery in Longview

• A light snack is provided (fried bread, jam and cheese)
